Imagine if our diagnostic test had already been integrated into the healthcare system.
September 15, 2025Yes—and it surprises many people. In my work, I’ve encountered numerous individuals who are puzzled by testing positive for resistant bacteria, despite never having taken antibiotics.

Carrying resistant bacteria is not inherently dangerous unless you are in close contact with vulnerable individuals or develop an infection that requires treatment. When resistant bacteria are exposed to antibiotics, the sensitive strains are killed, while the resistant ones survive and can spread rapidly.

That’s why it’s so important to use antibiotics only when truly necessary.
At Uvigga Diagnostics, we are developing a solution to support healthcare professionals in determining whether a patient has an active urinary tract infection—and therefore whether antibiotics are needed at all.
This is our contribution to ensuring that resistant bacteria do not gain the upper hand.
About me
In 2021, I embarked on my journey as an entrepreneur and am now working with clear focus—together with talented researchers from DTU and OUH—to develop a solution for faster and more accurate detection of urinary tract infections, specifically targeting elderly and vulnerable patients. We are currently engaged in testing and development of our first prototype.
